Our cider
Currently, millions of pounds of fruit are left hanging or sent to landfills as they are not 'Optimal for Market', however, the fruit flavour, sugar, and acidity is still in harmony for cider production. Our goal is to provide farmers with another revenue stream and incentive to continue growing fruit that feeds our communities.
CRAFTED ON SITE
Folktale cider is manufactured from our beautiful orchard in Oyama, Lake Country, BC. All products are vegan and naturally gluten-free, using 100% local apples.
Please note that as a small-batch cider house, some varieties are only available while quantities last. Check back as we update this page frequently for new flavours and releases.

BRAMBLE & ROOT

A wander through the traditions of our western past, Bramble & Root is our cider take on classic sarsaparilla root beer. Crisp apple is layered with earthy roots, warm spice, and woodland botanicals, revealing notes of wintergreen, birch, and soft vanilla.

LAVENDER HAZE

Juicy raspberries burst forward with vibrant tartness, balanced with a savoury note of fresh basil. Lively and aromatic, this cider walks the line between sweet and savoury, with a refreshing finish.

Bursting strawberries and authentic maple syrup. Bright berry aromas meet bold maple richness for a sweet, distinctively Canadian cider.

ORCHARD MERLOT
6.2% ABV.
Fresh apples and Merlot grapes are co-fermented from the start, creating a beautifully integrated cider with notes of dark cherry, plum, and soft tannins. Elegant and wine-inspired.

GIN BOTANICAL
6.2% ABV.
Bright, aromatic, and refreshingly dry, this cider is infused with a blend of gin-inspired botanicals. Expect lifted notes of herbal complexity with subtle juniper and citrus notes over a clean apple backbone. Like an Oyama garden in bloom.

OYAMA SUNRISE

A tropical escape in every sip. Juicy guava, ripe mango, and sun-kissed peaches blend seamlessly with crsip apple for a refreshing burst of exotic fruit and a smooth, juicy finish.
